Established in 1945 by Giuseppe Ostuni, the company is the oldest active Italian lighting design company, well known for their collaborations with Post-War designers who explored new technologies and experimented with innovative design. The Italian lighting label has collaborated with some of the leading designers of the 20th century—designers who helped define the sleek, space-age look of the Swinging Sixties including Marco Zanuso, Joe Colombo, and Vico Magistretti. The company has produced some of the most celebrated designs of the 20th century which are now archived in the design departments of major museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
